St. Anthony Catholic Church 

Founded in 1946

Historically, Mass has been celebrated in Hampton since the 1850s, with nearby Beaufort priest occasionally traveling to offer sacrament in various homes. The town received a church of its own in 1955, when St. Mary Mission was founded.  The small parish is now home to 48 families.

St. Mary Mission in Hampton is assigned as a mission of St. Anthony Parish, Ridgeland.
